Coming from humble beginnings and big dreams, in 2002 the roots of Heartland Gymnastics took hold in a small facility located in the basement of an auto parts store as a Preschool Gymnastics facility serving children ages 15 months-6 years. Our facility was small and so was our equipment. Already needing to expand, in January 2003 we moved into a bigger location but we still found ourselves growing as quickly as the children and families who were made up our gym family and by May of 2003 we needed even more space and bigger equipment! In June of 2003 we expanded into the empty space next door creating a separate, but shared space for the preschool gymnasts we currently served with an upgraded area for athletes ages six and older. 

 

In January of 2005 after more growth and a lot of prayer, we finally found a building BIG enough to accommodate all of our equipment as well as the rapidly growing number of children in the Southeast Missouri community we served. At that time we made the exciting move into a 10,000 sq ft state of the art gymnastics facility where we were located for over a decade. As the community’s trust grew in us, we once more outgrew our facility and by 2018 found ourselves needing to expand once again! Our Cape Girardeau gym is presently located in a beautiful 15,000 sq ft. facility with state of the art equipment. 

 

Believing all children should the opportunity to gain gymnastics experience from professional, knowledgeable coaches in a professional gym environment, rooted by the same  core philosophy and values responsible for the success of Heartland gymnastics for over two decades, in 2023 Heartland Gymnastics expanded beyond Southeast Missouri, opening a second gym expanding the Heartland Gymnastics family to Jonesboro, AR. 

 

Grounded in integrity, remaining true to who we are and what we believe in, over the past twenty five years, Heartland Gymnastics has provided instruction for xxxx thousand young gymnasts of all levels from Parent and Tot to Competitive Team Platinum Level and Above with our coaching staff growing from just one, owner and founder, Kassi Knight-Younger to a team of  xxx dedicated, professional coaches plus four full-time office staff.
